The YNJQ400 fully rotational bucking unit, also called torque machine, bucking machine, or hydraulic makeup and breakout unit, is designed for large-diameter oilfield casing, tubing, downhole tools, completion tools, drill tools, and wellhead equipment. It delivers a maximum torque of 150 kN.m (~110,634 ft.lb). Its power tong and backup tong each use 6 synchronized hydraulic cylinders for clamping, featuring 360° full rotation, PLC control, and optional non-marking dies. Optional features include eccentricity adjustment (0-200mm horizontal offset), push/pull function (15T-30T), and top-opening tailstock. Customized solutions are available.

I. YNJQ400 Fully Rotational Bucking Unit Structures and Features

The YNJQ400 hydraulic bucking machine (also called as hydraulic makeup and breakout unit) is a heavy-duty oilfield bucking equipment equipped with 6 hydraulic cylinders. During operation, the pipe remains fixed while the 6 cylinders work in sync to clamp the coupling and rotate continuously. Each cylinder controls one jaw, and the reliable synchronizer is imported from Italy. The backup tong can float slightly to automatically adjust its center. The clamping force is controlled by the hydraulic system.

This bucking unit design offers several key advantages: broad application range, high mechanical strength, reliable clamping with no slippage, minimal pipe damage, small die marking in accordance with API standards, and high automation. Additionally, the machine features automatic speed regulation via a frequency converter, making it suitable for premium connections.
