The YNJQ120 Sucker Rod Bucking Unit is a professional hydraulic bucking machine designed for precision makeup and breakout of oilfield sucker rod, sucker rod pump, and downhole pump threaded connections. It supports sucker rod O.D. 16–110mm (5/8" to 4-3/8") and delivers a maximum torque of 6kN·m (4,425ft·lb) at high gear (2kN·m at low gear), customizable for higher torque. Equipped with Siemens S7‑1200 PLC and 15" industrial computer, it provides real-time torque and turn control. The power tong uses three synchronized hydraulic cylinders for clamping, and the backup tong uses a lead screw clamping mechanism, featuring dual-speed operation, PLC control, and optional non-marking dies. Widely used in sucker rod production, assembly and repair lines. Custom solutions available.

I. YNJQ120 Sucker Rod Bucking Unit Structures and Features
The YNJQ120/06 bucking machine is a professional hydraulic bucking machine that adopts a different structure for power tong and backup tong. The power tong utilizes three synchronized hydraulic cylinders for clamping and continuous rotation to grip the coupling, while the backup tong uses hydraulic motor to rotate lead screw driving claws clamping for stable make-up and break-out.
The power tong of this sucker rod bucking unit is equipped with a 2-speed gearbox. The large gear connects to a cylinder frame fitted with three hydraulic cylinders evenly arranged at 120°. The rotating large gear drives the frame to make the cylinders clamp the coupling steadily. Curved jaw dies are replaceable for different pipe diameters, ensuring firm non-slip clamping without pipe damage or die marks. As a professional hydraulic bucking machine, its system pressure and make-up and breakout torque can be adjusted via the hydraulic station relief valve, and the power tong supports high/low speed shifting.
The backup tong clamps the threaded rod body to prevent rotation. It adopts a screw-driven clamping mechanism driven by a hydraulic motor to grip the square section of the sucker rod. The backup tong can move along guide rails to adjust the distance from the power tong. An optional dual-backup-tong structure avoids turning the sucker rod during make-up and breakout, greatly simplifying disassembly and assembly.
This design offers several key advantages: two-speed rotating, reliable and mark-free clamping, adjustable torque control, dual backup tong design, and real-time torque monitoring。
